UHI Next Generation Training

Prescience Communications won the tender to lead on Training Workshops for the University of the Highlands and Islands training programme for its Next Generation Videoconferencing Services. The project involved Awareness Raising for staff at the 13 affiliated institutions which comprise the UHI. We developed:

The Next Generation Videoconferencing Project is an ambitiously realised project of Integrated Communication encompassing videoconferencing studios, telephone - mobile and landline users, and Internet users (using Movi and ConferenceMe).

The equipment we developed training materials included:

  • Cisco/Tandberg Expressway Communications Server
  • Crestron Controllers for Environment Control
  • Smart Technology Touch Panel Screens
  • Movi and ConferenceMe remote access software
  • standard studio items and peripherals

The training targets were all met in the period of the course, and the training was well received within the Institution. All respondents felt the training worthwhile and were pleased to have backup materials to all the courses in an online learning environment for more leaisurely perusal.
